About Madri Hammond

I’ve always had a special love and interest in children, their growth and development but mostly their unique being. After school I completed training as a Montessori Directress and that led to my path becoming an Occupational Therapist.

In my 17 years of practice, which included clinical settings, organizations and schools, it was the evolution from working with children in clinics to families in their homes that truly resonated. This also included parental collaboration and consultation outside of in-person sessions with children.

I continue to have a deep appreciation and curiosity regarding children’s unique being and am frequently fascinated by the working of their brains and their remarkable abilities. This means that my approach includes helping parents to see beyond only diagnoses and labels to understanding and attuning to their child in a way that validates and embraces their individual self.

My work is grounded in a dynamic, relationship-based approach that honors the individuality of each child and family. Rooted in neuroscience, relational science, and sensory processing, it is centered on fostering connection, understanding, and attunement.

Rather than following a set system, we focus on discovering what best supports your child’s growth, well-being, and unique way of engaging with the world. This process is collaborative and flexible, evolving alongside your child’s needs and your family’s experiences.

Together, we will create a vision that reflects your child’s unique abilities, needs, and ways of engaging with the world, while allowing space for growth and adaptation. The goal is to cultivate an environment and relationships where your child feels seen, understood, and free to feel in flow with their own way of being.
